Chuck Wells

Chuck Wells

Over a 30+ year period Mr. Wells has provided financial advisory services for hospitals, and other healthcare facilities in accessing capital through various forms of tax exempt revenue bonds.  He has had extensive experience in working with various sources of tax exempt healthcare financing, rating agencies, and bond insurance companies.  Additionally, Mr. Wells has worked with many of the large national and regional investment banking firms and commercial banks that specialize in healthcare lending.  He has served as the financial adviser/coordinator and feasibility consultant on projects approximating $1 billion in total financings. 

Mr. Wells founded Healthcare Financial Advisers, Inc. to provide financial advisory assistance to rural community hospitals including providing assistance in accessing capital through tax exempt revenue bonds, specialty bond funds, and other sources of capital.  Mr. Wells also provides consulting services to non profit community hospitals and health systems as a financial adviser and strategist.  He is a frequent speaker on the topic of healthcare finance.  He also works in the areas of board education and medical staff development.

Mr. Wells received his MBA degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business with a concentration in finance. 

Currently serves as past chairman of the board of directors of the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault, chairman of the board of the Kansas Health Institute, and serves as advisor to the investment committee of Olathe Medical Center.  He has served as a trustee of Drury University and on the vestry as warden, treasurer, and finance chair at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  He has served as an advisor to the finance committee of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis and as president of the Kansas City chapter of the Harvard Business School Club.
