Awards for Excellence/Fellowships

Among the highlights of every Summit are the award ceremonies that recognize and congratulate the most accomplished and committed executives, project teams, and organizations in the field. The work undertaken by the award winners is recognized by all attendees and the ceremonies help to create a conference environment that is inspirational and motivating. The following recognition and award events are planned for the 2010 Summit:

The TRUST Award
The Health Research & Educational Trust presents the TRUST Award to an individual who has exhibited visionary leadership to influence change in the health care field.

The American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize®
Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence
The award honors hospital progress toward achieving the Institute of Medicine's Six Quality Aims-safety, patient-centeredness, effectiveness, efficiency, timeliness, and equity

Circle of Life Awards®
The Circle of Life Awards recognize innovation in palliative and end-of-life care

Most Wired™ Awards
Health Care's Most Wired hospitals and health systems will be honored for their innovative use of information technology.

AHA NOVA Awards®
The American Hospital Association NOVA Awards honor effective, collaborative projects focused on improving community health status.

Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship
The AHA-NPSF Patient Safety Leadership Fellows will be recognized. The Fellowship is the premier learning program for quality improvement leaders and strategic teams focused on creating cultures of safety.

AONE Nurse Manager Fellowship Program
The American Organization of Nurse Executives Nurse Manager Fellows will be recognized. The Fellowship program is the first of its kind, focusing on the education and development of the nurse manager to ensure the future vitality of nursing leadership.
