Poster Presentations
Interested parties are invited to contribute to the program by submitting abstracts or case studies to be presented in a poster presentation format.
INSTRUCTIONS
Include the following in your submission:
- Name, organization, and contact information of all authors (indicate which is the lead author/presenter)
- The topic area that best characterizes the abstract
- Title of presentation with a 200-word description
SELECTION CRITERIA
Posters should be educational in nature and cannot be of a commercial variety promoting products or services. The selection of abstracts will be based on the following aspects: relevance to the conference theme, innovation and originality, and clarity of presentation.
SUGGESTED TOPICS
Previous posters have focused on topics such as:
- Reimbursement and billing - Strategies for decision-making regarding acceptance of insurance and patient billing.
- Organizational Involvement and/or Resistance - Best practices in overcoming organizational resistance or gaining support of the healthcare staff for CAM efforts.
- Staffing - Models of clinical staffing for the clinic or program.
- Creating a Healing Environment - Best practices for creating a healing environment for your program and/or clinic.
FORMAT
Presenters are responsible for creating their own poster display. Posters should be able to stand on their own on a 6’ long x 2.5’ deep tables. One poster will be displayed per table.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 11, 2008
ACCEPTANCE
Space is limited. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their abstracts by April 15, 2008. All poster presenters are responsible for their own expenses including conference registration, lodging, and travel. A $50 fee will be charged to cover the cost of set-up. Full instructions concerning shipping, set-up, etc., will be provided at the time of acceptance.
