Academic Instructor Support

AHA Press offers a selection of programs and materials designed to supplement exercises in some of our textbooks. Desk and exam copies are also available to qualified instructors; however, instructors must first provide professional contact and course information.

Support for ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Coding and HIM Billing Courses

Instructors of recognized academic institutions (not health care provider organizations or associations) who are using AHA Press titles in their HIT, coding, or hospital billing courses must first register at the AHA Central Office Web site to receive access to additional training materials. (see link below)

After registering, an e-mail will be sent to the registered instructor's e-mail address. The e-mail message will contain a website link and a password code that provides the instructor access to a Web page containing training material files and desk/exam copy request forms. No other notification will be sent.

Desk/Exam Copies: Desk and exam copy request forms are only available on the instructor support website and must be filled out and submitted via fax or mail.

An instructor can only receive one complimentary copy per title per year. If a purchase order for a minimum of six student textbooks is not received within 60 days of delivery of a desk copy, the instructor will be invoiced for the cost of the textbook. (Instructors who return exam copies in salable condition within 90 days will not be invoiced.) Allow 12 working days for request fulfillment. If "rush" shipment is desired, please include credit card information (credit card type and account number) on the request form to cover overnight shipping and handling (see Book Ordering Information page for shipping rates). Books can only be shipped to an academic institution address.

Please visit this Web site for instructor support materials:
