Karen McLaughlin has championed this role at Wooster Community Hospital for 4 years. Her specialty is in Meaningful Use configuration within the MEDITECH system. She is also the project lead Clinical Analyst for the Medical Oncology expansion project at Wooster Community Hospital in conjunction with The James Cancer Hospital - The Ohio State University which is scheduled for completion in late 2016/early 2017

Previously, she was an analyst for Allscripts SCM at Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH [Summa Health System]. Her clinical experience includes lead sonographer for Summa Health System, and general sonographer for Akron Children’s Hospital and Mercy Health Center in Canton, OH. She has also been a Clinical Instructor for Kent State University Ultrasound Program.

Karen holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Ohio University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Imaging Sciences from Kent State University, and certifications in General, Abdominal, OB/GYN, Breast, and Vascular Ultrasound.

Dr. Zahid Butt is a board certified Gastroenterologist and the former Director of Clinical Informatics at St. Agnes Healthcare, a member of Ascension Health. He has served on several Health IT task forces both in government and the private sector. He currently chairs the HIMSS Performance Measurement Taskforce and is Co-Chair of the National Quality Forum (NQF) / ONC sponsored Value Set Harmonization Committee. As a nationally recognized expert in quality measurement he has served on several CMS Technical Expert Panels (TEP) charged with development and maintenance of Quality eMeasures for future quality reporting programs. Over the last 30 years he has held a variety of leadership positions in diverse healthcare settings and provides key insights into leveraging Health IT to improve quality of care. In addition to quality measurement and reporting, his areas of expertise include healthcare data analytics and clinical decision support.
