Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of death in the United States carrying an estimated cost of $351.2 billion. Employers are taking on more of this burden and costs are expected to top $15,000 per employee in 2020.

Health care strategies to address CVD and diabetes risk by improving lifestyle are becoming an integral part of workforce strategy. Health coaching interventions that focus on physical activity, dietary interventions, and behavior change science can significantly improve these health risks

In this webinar, Jane Ruppert, RDN, LDN, CDE, will discuss why health coaching programs should be an integral part of your employee wellness program.  She will share insights from aggregate health data demonstrating statistically significant improvement in CVD risk factors for employees engaged in health coaching. Jane will also discuss real-life insights gathered from a hospital employer group that saw CVD risk reductions after implementing a comprehensive wellness program including health coaching interventions.

Jane Ruppert joined Interactive Health in 2006 and oversees the operations of the clinical services, which provide impactful interventions to promote health and well-being. Jane has grown the company’s coaching services during her tenure by over 150% percent, improving health outcomes nationwide.

Before Interactive Health, Jane worked as a clinical nutritionist, providing medical nutrition therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings. Since 2006, Jane has specialized in developing, implementing and managing well-being programs that foster chronic care management and prevention.

Jane is a registered licensed dietitian with a certification in diabetes education and health coach training through Wellcoaches Corporation. She is a frequent guest speaker and contributor on a variety of topics for corporations and national organizations. She is active in the Health Enhancement Research Organization Think Tank, American Association of Diabetes Educators and the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
