Making the Case for Strategic Talent Management

  • Event Date:
  • Event Time: Noon Central

Health care talent management teams need to take a new approach in solving their talent challenges. Given current labor force trends in health care, "business as usual" won't cut it. The time it takes to fill positions is continuing to rise, along with turnover, every year. In addition, health systems are losing millions of years of collective nursing and physician experience as boomers retire.

In this session, you will learn about a scientifically proven, cohesive strategy for hiring, retention and training based on collaboration across the HR function.

Attendees Will Learn:

  • Strategic talent practices and strategies to improve hiring speed and retention rates while also supporting robust internal hiring and succession planning
  • How to calculate business cost and estimate patient impacts from current practices, and prepare an organization-specific risk mitigation plan to reduce business cost ad patient risk
  • How to make the case to organization leadership for aligning goals across the HR function to support this holistic approach to health care talent management.
